The McK inney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act was established to ensure th at children and youth experiencing homelessness have equal access to the s ame free\, appropriate public education as their housed peers=including ac cess to public preschool programs. Due to the transient and often unstable nature of homelessness\, young children are frequently underserved. Famil ies experiencing homelessness may encounter enrollment barriers-sometimes unintentional-such as required screenings\, waiting lists\, transportation challenges\, or missing documentation (including birth certificates\, imm unization records\, or medical records). These barriers can delay or disru pt a child's education during a time when stability is critically importan t. Join us to learn how we can better support students and families experi encing homelessness. We will review current barriers\, highlight recent su ccesses\, and discuss practical strategies to ensure equitable access and educational continuity for every child.

Every classroom holds untapped potential students with emerg ing talents\, diverse strengths\, and unique ways of thinking. This sessi on explores how educators can become "talent spotters\," intentionally ide ntifying and nurturing the abilities of all learners through a strengths-b ased instructional approach.
