Basic Needs and Financial Aid Departments for a two-part Bud geting &\; Financial Wellness Workshop designed to help students build confidence in managing their finances while in college.

Throughout this interactive worksh op series\, students will learn practical budgeting strategies\, tips for saving money\, and how to make the most of campus and community resources available to support their success. Financial Aid will also have someone p rovide valuable information on financial literacy topics\, including under standing financial aid\, student loans\, responsible borrowing\, and devel oping healthy financial habits.

The Basic Needs Department will provide snacks and resourc e handouts during each session\, giving students additional tools and info rmation to support their financial well-being.

The annual Taft Community Job Fest will once again be held o n the Taft College Campus in the Student Center. This event is open to the entire community of Taft.

The Basic Needs Department is proud to host its annual Holid ay Food Box Giveaway\, helping to support students during the holiday seas on. Throughout the week\, eligible students will have the opportunity to r eceive a holiday food box filled with pantry staples and meal essentials t o help ease food insecurity during the holiday break.

Food boxes may be available by advan ce registration or open campus sign-up\, depending on available funding an d inventory. Additional details regarding eligibility\, registration\, and distribution times will be announced closer to the event.

From December 1–17\, donation boxes will be placed throughout campus to collect new or gently used winter essentials for Taft College students in need.

Donatio ns will help stock the Cougar Support Center's Basic Needs Closet and prov ide students with warm clothing and comfort items before winter break and as they leave for break or return for the new semester.

Invite Only: Incoming Dental Hygiene Students (and one guest ) must attend orientation as part of their acceptance into the hygiene pro gram. We meet in the Cougar Room from 9:00 am-11:30 am to review the denta l hygiene program. After a lunch break\, we reconvene in the Cougar Room a t 12:30. Campus Tours are given along with scrubs and loupes fittings.
