We are excited to announce the Rites of Passage Crossing Over Ceremony for the 8th grade class of Calloway-Smith Middle School. This special even t will be held on Thursday\, May 21\, 2026\, at 8:30 AM to honor our stude nts as they transition from middle school to high school.  

Participation Requirements:

To ensure this ceremony reflects the accomplishments of our students\, the fo llowing criteria must be met:  

·       Behavior: Students must exhibit positive behavior during the 3r d and 4th quarters. Any student with consistent behavior issues will forfe it the opportunity to participate.  

·       < strong>Academic Achievement: Students must pass all classes to pa rticipate. Failure to pass any class will result in the student being inel igible for the ceremony and required to attend summer school to meet the 8 th grade requirements before moving on to 9th grade.  

Dress Code for the Ceremony:  

We want our students to look their best for this memorable occasion. Please a dhere to the following attire guidelines:  

·        Girls: Black dress (no strapless or spaghetti stra p dresses)\, flat black shoes\, white pearl necklace\, and earrings.
