This age-old method of firing ceramic wares has become a rare alternative to the modern electric and gas firing techniques used today. Students bury their art pieces in a brick pit\, pile wood and other combus tibles on top\, and light the entire mess on fire. While 20-foot flames ma ke for great entertainment\, the actual purpose of this alternative firing method is the intricate surface treatment that can be achieved no other w ay. This beloved Eagle Ridge tradition\, started in 2009\, is an opportuni ty for Eagle Ridge students and staff to come together to experience truth \, goodness\, and beauty.

Long and short-sleeved shirts are permitted. Shirts ar e not to be tied back with elastic bands but may be untucked. No strapless \, spaghetti straps\, or sleeveless tops are permitted.
Swe atpants and jeans are permitted\; however\, jeans with immodest rips are n ot. Leggings and yoga pants can only be worn with modest shirts\, tunics\, shorts\, and skirts. Skirt and shorts length should be modest\, and no mo re than 2” above the knee.
