The City of West Allis in partnership with the Southwest Sub urban Health Department will be hosting a Mayor's Wellness Challenge Septe mber 13-26\, 2026. \;
Our first pop-up event to kickoff this wel lness challenge is a casual\, family friendly walk led by Mayor Dan Devine . Join the Mayor and other members from the community at Greenfield Park f or a 2 mile walk starting at 3A\, right next to the parking lot off of Lin coln Ave. \;All participants will receive City of West Allis swag and can check off their first event on the Wellness Passport.

The bird w alk will be at a slow pace\, fit for all regardless of age\, ability\, or bird-watching experience. Participants should dress for the weather and we ar shoes they can walk in\, with possibility of off-path terrain. Bring bi noculars if you have them\, but no equipment required. Meet at the parking lot off of S. 116th St.

For this pop-up event individuals can atte nd a FREE 45 minute Yoga in the Park session with Registered Yoga Teacher Amii LaPointe. Vinyasa Flow focuses on moving from pose to pose\, li nking movement with breath to build strength\, flexibility\, and a calm mi nd. Class will begin with breathing and centering and will then move into the physical practice and will end with guided relaxation. \;Class wil l be completely beginner-friendly\, with modifications and options offered for all levels. Wear comfortable\, flexible clothing that stays securely in place as you move--layers are encouraged so you can easily adjust to th e outdoor weather. \;Please bring a yoga mat\, towel\, or blanket to practice on.
