 s <strong>Sunday\, April 19 through Sunday\, May 10</strong>. During this 
 time\, yard waste materials like leaves\, weeds\, flowers\, vines\, and ot
 her non-fruit and vegetable materials can be placed in the street along th
 e curb line for pickup.</p><p>Please be aware there may be a delay of up t
 o two weeks before crews begin collecting the yard waste. You can also bri
 ng your yard waste to the West Allis drop-off site at 6300 W. McGeoch Ave.
  for disposal without charge.</p><p><strong>Tips for Yard Waste Collection
 </strong></p><ol><li><p>Grass clippings are not considered yard waste and 
 are not accepted at the drop-off sites or collected with yard waste collec
 tion. Leave grass clippings in place or consider starting a compost pile. 
 You can also use grass clippings as mulch under trees and shrubs at home. 
 Don’t rake grass clippings into the street!</p></li><li><p>Take advantag
 e of curbside yard waste collection which takes place each spring and fall
 .</p><ul><li><p>DO</p><ul><li><p>Rake yard waste into the street along the
  curb line forming a long\, low pile.</p></li><li><p>If you don’t have a
  curb\, place material along the roadway in a long\, low pile.</p></li><li
 ><p>Wet material down to prevent it from blowing away.</p></li><li><p>Remo
 ve pots and soil from plants before placing for collection.</p></li><li><p
 >When parking on the street be mindful of leaf pile locations and allow a 
 15 foot clearance.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>DO NOT</p><ul><li><p>Mix yard 
 waste into brush piles.</p></li><li><p>Place materials for collection in d
 rainage ditches\, alleys\, garbage containers\, ash boxes\, or piles in yo
