The Grand Island Public Library is pleased to present a spec ial quilt exhibit featuring the handcrafted work of members of the Prairie Pioneer Quilters Guild of Grand Island. The Exhibit will be on display Ma y 2 through May 30 in the library’s Art Alcove. The exhibit will showcas e the skill\, creativity\, and artistry of the guild’s members and offer s a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of handmade quilts.
The Prairie Pioneer Quilters were organized in August 1986 with a missi on to encourage an appreciation of the art of quilting through educational meetings\, travel\, fellowship\, and the promotion of a variety of quilti ng activities. The guild is a community of dedicated quilters who celebrat e the timeless craft of quilting.

The Hall County Fair is working on bringing you another year of great entertainment! The 2026 fair will kick off on July 22 and conclu de on July 26. New changes are in store for young and old alike this year. The Hall County Fair offers a variety of entertainment\, including 4-H ex hibits\, open-class exhibits\, a livestock show\, a kid’s pedal pull\, a nd other entertainment.
Open Class pre-registration will be availabl e in early June. Check back to get registered for this year's 2026 Open Cl ass.
