 usly completed an Initial Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training.The Nonv
 iolent Crisis Intervention Training Program is a holistic behavior managem
 ent system based on the philosophy of providing the best Care\, Welfare\, 
 Safety\, and Security for staff and those in their care even during the mo
 st violent moments. The program focuses on preventing disruptive behavior 
 by communicating with individuals respectfully and with concern for their 
 well-being. The program teaches physical interventions only as a last reso
 rt - when an individual presents an imminent danger to self or others - an
 d all physical interventions taught are designed to be non-harmful\, nonin
 vasive and to maintain the individual’s dignity. Follow-up debriefing st
 rategies are also key components of the training program.Participants will
  be required to complete an on-line training portion before attending the 
 in-person training. Participants will receive information about the online
  training 1-2 weeks before the in-person training date.
