The 2026 School Programming Showcase at Crocodile River Music on Monday, Nov 2 from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
We kindly ask that participants RSVP so that we do not exceed capacity.
Join us for refreshments, conversation, and interactive drum and dance experiences in our downtown Worcester headquarters, filled with hundreds of African instruments and art pieces and learn all that Crocodile River Music has to offer! Attendees are welcome to filter in and out at any time.
The evening will include:
-A short sample hands-on African drum workshop
-A short sample African dance workshop
-Video excerpts from past school assembly performances
-Sample display of African art pieces that we loan as part of our African Arts in Education program
-A short presentation
- Q&A with the team
-Snacks and beverages
There will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 3, to accommodate a day of professional development for staff.
The Parent Information Center will also be closed.
All other district offices will be open. Staff are to report.
Parents and caregivers are invited to a free child car seat installation event on Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Worcester State University, 486 Chandler Street, Worcester. The event will be held in the parking lot in front of the Helen G. Shaughnessy Administration Building.
Heart of New England Council is partnering with the Massachusetts State Police and Worcester State University to help ensure child car seats are properly installed and children are as secure as possible while traveling.
The event is free and open to all. No registration is required.
