MD CAMP: Community\, Access\, Mentorship\, a nd Purpose is a two-week immersive day camp (9 am–4 pm) launching in Sum mer 2026. Students will attend lectures in biochemistry\, histology\, path ology\, anatomy\, nutrition\, and clinical medicine. They will also gain a n understanding of various medical subspecialties by shadowing a diverse g roup of UMass physicians in fields such as OBGYN\, Internal Medicine\, Neu rology\, Pediatrics\, and Family Medicine.
Students will also have t he opportunity to experience simulated medical scenarios through the UMass Interprofessional Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (iCELS) . These simulations will include point-of-care ultrasound\, intubation/air way management\, wound care/suturing\, phlebotomy\, BLS/CPR\, code simulat ors\, and MedFlight. They will also build community and mentorship with UM ass students and faculty.
