DESCRIPTION:
Join IESE Network for a Virtual Admin Academy: (AA #3849) Ch
anging School Culture Through the Teacher Evaluation Process (With a Focus
 on Supporting Special Educators)

If we are honest\, evaluation has
drifted in a lot of schools. It gets completed. It gets filed. It satisfi
es the requirement. But too often\, it does not fundamentally sharpen inst
ruction. This Administrator Academy is built around a simple premise: if w
e are going to spend this much time evaluating teachers\, it should meanin
gfully improve practice. We will take a serious look at the instructional
practices that matter most in special education classrooms and align them
thoughtfully to the Danielson Framework. Not to add complexity. Not to cre
ate another initiative. But to make sure what we are observing\, scripting
\, and discussing is actually connected to student growth. When there is t
ight alignment between expectations\, observation\, and feedback\, evaluat
ion becomes a leadership tool. When there isn't\, it becomes an annual exe
rcise.

Learning Outcomes:

Assess the current culture of obse
rvation and evaluation in their building and determine whether it is drivi
ng instructional growth or reinforcing compliance habits.

Strengthe
n the connection between the instructional practices they expect to see an
d the framework they use to evaluate them.

Examine their current ev
aluation process and identify where time is being invested well-and where
it is not producing a meaningful return.

Develop an observation app
roach that supports continued teacher growth while respecting the real tim
e constraints administrators face.

Guide teachers in building focus
ed professional growth plans rooted in clearly defined\, locally understoo
d standards of proficient practice.

Lead staff conversations that b
uild shared clarity around what strong special education instruction looks
 like in their context.

Use Al appropriately within the evaluation
process to help organize evidence\, surface patterns\, and strengthen feed
back\, while keeping professional judgment and final decisions firmly in t
he hands of the evaluator.

To register\, please click <a target="_bl
