Join us for an Early Childhood Resource Fair to learn how you can support your child. We invite all Chesapeake families with children ages 2-5 to attend if you have concerns about your child’s speech development, learning, or behavior. 


Our Early Childhood Assessment Team (ECAT) and special education staff will be available to work with you to complete a child study referral, offer family resources and answer your questions. 


You can visit us anytime between 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Children are welcome to attend, but are not required to be with you. 


This event supports Chesapeake Public Schools' Child Find Initiative to locate, identify, and evaluate children with disabilities who may need early intervention.

Chesapeake Public Schools will host two (2) public meetings to support the multi-step process to name our new elementary school at 650 Horse Camp Lane opening in the fall of 2027.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this community meeting! This is the second of two (2) community meetings focused on the naming process. The first meeting was held at Hugo Owens Middle School on October 26, 2026. Both meetings cover the same agenda and information, so you only need to attend one, though you are welcome to attend both.
