CCPS is empowering children through the magic of reading by providing free books f or home libraries at this family literacy event.

El Librotazo\, the Big Book Party\, takes place 5-7:30 p.m. on July 14 at the Chesterfield C ounty Fairgrounds (10300 Courthouse Road). Every child can choose up to fi ve books to keep. That’s right: Every child from birth through high scho ol will get books for their home libraries. That’s why this is a big boo k party!

There is no cost to attend\, take home books\, or enjoy fu n and food at El Librotazo. Thanks to the support from the Chesterfield Ed ucation Foundation\, Dominion Energy\, HappyKidz\, Fayad Law\, and the Old Dominion Group. Families are asked to register by July 8 for free tickets . We have a limit of 3\,500 attendees.

Books for all ages will be a vailable in English and Spanish. In addition to books\, enjoy these other activities at El Librotazo:

Try out an obstacle course and bounce o n big inflatables
Create hands-on crafts led by the Children’s M useum of Richmond
Play games led by Chesterfield Parks and Recreat ion
Enjoy popsicles and popcorn
